The chain of the cinemas CinemaPlus hosts a screening of the drama “Once Upon a Time at the Movie” produced by India, the USA and France.

The film is directed and written by Pan Nalin.

The film is partly based on the biography of the director, who, like the main character, was born and raised in a village in the Suarashtra region of Western India, the state of Gujarat.

The film had its world premiere on June 10, 2021 at the Tribeca Film Festival. Later the film was shown at the Beijing International Film Festival, where it was nominated for the “Tiantan” Award, and also won the Best Film award at the Valladolid International Film Festival.

Starring characters are Bhavin Rabari, Richa Meena, Rahul Kohli and Tia Sebastian.

Briefly about the film: Living like in a movie is the dream of millions of people. When nine-year-old Samai first appeared in the cinema, his heart was won forever. And now the boy from the slums is ready for anything to have a movie with him every day.
