From July 6, the stunning, adventure American film Joy Ride starts in the chain of cinemas “CinemaPlus.

This Hollywood comedy was produced by Seth Rogen, acclaimed screenwriter, actor, producer, and his longtime collaborator and co-producer Evan Goldberg, with whom they have worked from the legendary Super Peppers to recent global hits such as The Boys and Pam & Tommy. For the first time in his career, Rogen took on a project centered on girls: “I get hundreds of scripts a month, I read dozens, but the JOY RIDE script was one that I personally was willing to pay any money for! It is homerically funny and at the same time written with heart, which is certainly a great success for any producer,” the famous actor/producer shared at the premiere of the film as part of the SXSW festival.

The director, screenwriter and producer of the comedy film about girls' adventures was Adele Lim. Her big break in Hollywood was the adaptation of the popular novel Crazy Rich Asians into the equally popular film of the same name ($238,000,000 in the global box office). Lim's next project was Disney's animated blockbuster Raya and the Last Dragon, and now it's Lim's turn to make her directorial debut.

The film tells about the mind-blowing comedy about four friends who go on an unforgettable journey! When Aubrey's (Ashley Park) business trip to Beijing turns into a disaster, Aubrey turns to her friends for help: the charismatic Lolo (Sherri Cola), flamboyant soap opera star Kat (Stephanie Xu), and Lolo's cousin Deadeye (Sabrina Wu), who is obsessed with K-Pop. Their epic experience of friendship, learning and wild revelry will unexpectedly reveal to them the truth about love, life and themselves...

The starring character Aubrey was played by actress, dancer and singer Ashley Park, whom the audience fell in love with after her key role in the show Emily in Paris, and for her role in the Broadway musical Mean Girls Ashley Park was nominated for the prestigious AwardTony.

Stephanie Xu, who was nominated for an Oscar this year for her role as the daughter of the main character Michelle Yeoh in the acclaimed science fiction comedy Everything Everywhere at Once”, starred as her girlfriend Kat, the star of "soap operas." Xu is also known for her roles in the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel project and the superhero blockbuster Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

The rating of JOY RIDE never drops below 100% on Rotten Tomatoes of “freshness, with early viewers confidently giving it an A rating.
