In recent years, as a result of economic development, opportunities for recreation of the population have expanded in Azerbaijan.

Only during the last five years hundreds of places for recreation have been created, there have appeared a lot of movie theatres, large entertainment centers, which only 10 years ago could be counted on the fingers.

A presence of people in large numbers at any time of the day gives every reason to say that today Azerbaijanis spend a certain part of their earnings on leisure.

One non-governmental organization conducted a survey among 1,000 residents of the capital in order to determine the most popular weekend destination for residents of the capital.

20.5%, or 205 people answered that most often they visit the theater or cultural centers of this type. Most residents of the city prefer the Academic State Drama Theater, Young Spectator Theater and Russian Drama Theater, 48%, 32% and 20% respectively.

18.9% of respondents, or 189 people prefer to rest in restaurants, the number of which in the capital in recent years has increased greatly.

In the poll conducted under the title "How do you prefer to have rest and fun?" The majority of Baku residents have chosen cinemas, which in recent years have become more and more.

Most of the 1000 residents of the city of Baku who participated in the survey are 60.6% or 606 people choose cinemas as recreation facilities.

Respondents preferred three main movie theaters of the capital - "28 Cinema", "Park Cinema", Cinema Center "Nizami".

77% of respondents choose "28 Cinema" for recreation, 19% - "Park Cinema", and 5% - "Nizami" Cinema Center.

It should be noted that during the survey, the quality of the services provided was taken into consideration at the above-mentioned places of leisure, close location of this place to transport and communication lines, etc.
