The grand opening of the legendary cinema CinemaPlus Azerbaijan took place in Baku.

The guests were Azerbaijani stars, businessmen, heads of large corporations, actors, performers, TV presenters, directors, producers, bloggers, representatives of the beau monde and the media.

A huge awning was installed in front of the cinema, a banquet with national cuisine was organized. The most memorable moment of the evening was the performance of musicians who combined the national nagara with classical Azerbaijani music.

At the opening, Zaur Darabzadeh, the general director of the cinema network CinemaPlus, said he was proud of the return of the legendary Cinema Azerbaijan. Also the guests were greeted by the deputy general director of the cinema network Jafar Akhundzadeh.

As the guest of honor at the opening ceremony, the Honored Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Chairman of the Union of Cinematographers Shafiga Mammadova was invited. She shared her memories of the history of the cinema:

"I am sure that this cinema will be very successful. Because, it was here that we watched the best and most interesting films. It would be great if people often come to the cinema of a rich history. We love this cinema very much, and I am sure that this place will become both ours and your favorite."

The evening was completed with the premiere of On the Milky Road, directed by Emir Kusturica. He also starred in the film with the famous Italian actress Monica Bellucci. The film tells about the history of love that takes place during the Bosnian war.

Two-story cinema consists of 3 halls and 190 seats, meeting world standards. The halls are equipped with comfortable and upscale armchairs.

In the VIP-hall, designed with a special taste, viewers will have the opportunity to watch movies in chairs with a personal table and use the services of a VIP-bar.

In addition, there are elevators to get to the second floor. They can be used not only by VIP-audience, but also by people with disabilities. Also the halls now offer the most comfortable conditions for the reception of audience with wheelchairs. For them special places are equipped.

You can’t watch a film without popcorn and soft drinks. The cinema offers varieties of 4 assortments of popcorn, cotton candy, non-alcoholic cocktails with ice, etc.
