On September 25, 28 Cinema held a premiere screening of the film "Mahmud and Maryam", based on the novel of the same name by the Honored Writer Elchin Efendiyev.

The event was organized by Nargis magazine - the cover of the recently published issue of the edition was adorned with the main characters of this long-awaited film.

The author of the novel Elchin Efendiyev, the Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev, the rector of the Baku branch of the Moscow State University Nargiz Pashayeva, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Azerbaijan Alper Joshgun, the director of the film Mehmet Ada Oztekin, the producer of the film Sevda Kaygysiz, and the whole cast of the film participated in the event.

The main roles in this amazingly beautiful picture were performed by Turkish actor Aras Bulut Iinemli and actress from Kazakhstan Eva Dedova who appeared at the evening in a dress from the exclusive collection of Jan Atelier.

Then, , Abulfas Garayev, Alper Joshgun and writer Elchin Efendiyev appeared before the guests of the evening. After an exquisite buffet, guests went to the halls for the screening.

The picture tells the story of the tragic love of Mahmud, the son of the Azerbaijani khan, and Maryam, the daughter of a Christian priest. This project was the result of a fruitful joint work of Azerbaijani and Turkish films and was screened by 24 Kare Film.

This is another legend about love, which overcomes the most incredible obstacles, shakes the worlds and for which there are no barriers. Such love is incredible and therefore always tragic. And the reality here is closely intertwined with a miracle, which is understandable: great love is always magic.
