On May 14, at the “CineMastercard” Azerbaijan cinema, on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the film “Bizim Cəbiş müəllim” (Our teacher Jabish) and the 90th anniversary of screenwriter Magsud Ibragimbekov, the National Digital Restoration Studio “BALANCE”, part of the ANS group of companies, completely restored the work and presented with great pride it to our people.

First, the famous accordionist Seymur Hasansoy performed "Waltz" by Emin Sabitoglu, which was played in the film.

Students of the choreographic school danced to the melody of a waltz.

Public, political, cultural and artistic figures, including media representatives were attended to the presentation ceremony of the restored version of the film.

Vahid Mustafayev, head of the ANS group of companies, director, author of the idea and project manager, speaking at the presentation, said that the full-length feature film “Bizim Cəbiş müəllim” was shown by director Hasan Seyidbeyli in 1969 and produced at the Azerbaijanfilm film studio.

The events of the film took place in Baku during the Second World War.

The main roles in the film were played by Shafiga Mamedova, Suleiman Aleskerov, Nasiba Zeynalova, Aliaga Agayeva, Mukhtar Maniev, Safura Ibragimova and others.

The film once again confirmed its important and irreplaceable place among the peace-loving and freedom-loving peoples of the world who fought against fascism and defeated it in the fateful 40s.

After this, Vahid Mustafayev proudly informed the guests that the number of specialists involved in the restoration of the film was 12 people. 149 thousand frames were cleared. In addition, the complete 37-minute absence of sound in most parts of the film was returned to the film by ANS Foley 3 studio specialists in 65 days. As for film color correction, after many years of exposure to chemical and physical damage, the film is successfully corrected to the level of 12 different color shades and only monochrome - black and white.

Vahid Mustafayev also added that “Our Jabish”, which is presented to the Azerbaijani people with great pride, was cleaned for 7 months. The entire restoration was created by specialists, and no automatic or artificial intelligence tools were used, and this is generally impossible with such delicate work.

Jamil Guliyev, Aydin Kazimzade, Siyavush Kerimi, Magsud Ibragimbayov's wife Anna Ibragimbekova, as well as many cultural figures, scientists, public figures, businessmen and children of Hasan Seyidbeyli - Maryam Seyidbeyli, who played the daughter of teacher Jabish in the film, and Ziya Seyidbeyli, who created the character Namig, also participated in the presentation.

During the ceremony, it became known that the prototype of teacher Jabish was taken from Magsud Ibragimbekov’s father, Mamed Ibragimbekov, and this photograph was put on display.

The film “Bizim Cəbiş müəllim” is the 11th film cleared and presented to our people by the National Digital Restoration Studio “Balance”. The speakers noted that since the negatives of our films are in Moscow, the positives are stored in the Cinema Fund and gradually lose their quality. From this point of view, Vahid Mustafayev removes the low-quality negative and transfers it to the Cinema Fund.

The presentation ceremony also featured items used in the filming of the film.

It should be noted that the film was organized jointly by the National Digital Restoration Studio “BALANS”, the National Hero Chingiz Mustafayev Foundation, the ANS Group of Companies, the State Film Fund of Azerbaijan, the ANS Press news portal and the VMF Saat - the first manufacturer of precision mechanisms in Azerbaijan and the cinema “CineMastercard”.
